I was born in a small Siberian village.
Since childhood, I loved Nature, natural beauty, forest.
I have always wanted to paint and to create beauty by myself.
But to achieve this goal was hard,
as I did not have teachers available,
and everything I had to find and learn myself.
I had a job not related to painting,
when once I saw an ad about Mezen painting class.
At that time I had no idea what it was, but my intuition told me that I really needed it.
I could study there only a month and had to move from that city,
but I stepped on this path and did not want to change the direction I was moving in.
Once I was determined to study Russian traditional paintings,
in a miraculous way the books on these techniques found me, and not vice versa.
It seemed that the world itself was helping me.
I have 2 little daughters,
who show me that traditional Russian toy is something more dear to little children
than a fashionable expensive toy.
Children feel the true value of the toy and choose tradition.
And no matter what nationality children are,
I know that they will feel the interest and joy
when playing with Russian toys painted in ancient traditional Russian techniques
which carry the love and wisdom of many generations.
