Shchyolkovo, Moskovskaya oblast, Russia
My name is Yaroslavna and I live in Shchyolkovo, a small town near Moscow city.
I have been making fashion jewellery for about 4 years.
At first it was a simple standard pattern beading work.
It did not go very well though and before long I took a great interest in bead embroidery on leather.
90% of my jewellery pieces are made using this technique; whether it be a massive necklace or a small pendant.
Mainly, I embroider small items that are perfect for every-day use with any type of clothing.
I do not create bulky and heavy exhibition pieces or sets with a lot of elements.
I avoid using a huge amount of stones or multicoloured rhinestones.
I prefer soft and neat colour combinations that turn a jewellery piece into a subtle but sophisticated accessory.
I use mainly natural ornamental stones, glass and stone beads, Czech and Japanese seed beads, and in most cases – natural leather.
Findings are made either from brass, or from nickel free alloys.
Sometimes silver-plated or nickel silver findings can be used.
